But the restless Jesse is putting together a new gang made up of second-rate gangsters, which includes young Bob (Casey Affleck) who has collected Jesse James clippings and stories since he was a small boy and idolized Jesse. Another problem that Jesse has is that there is a large bounty on him, dead or alive. As time passes, Bob becomes jealous of Jesse and with the reward he could receive, he decides to kill Jesse, which he does. An interesting study of the two men that is based on Ron Hansen's historical novel of the same name. The film received two Academy Award nominations including Best Supporting Actor (Affleck). |

This time, Gideon escapes by tumbling down a mountain, falling into a stream, and leaping over a waterfall into freezing water. He climbs out, sets a camp fire, and digs out the bullet. But that's just the beginning of this story–most of which involves Gideon running for his life with Carver and the posse in hot pursuit. |

If Sarah can transport her cattle to Darwin, Fletcher and Carney's plot will be foiled. Sarah appeals to The Drover to help her on the cattle drive. Despite good moments and bad, they fall in love and do arrive in Darwin–just in time for the Japanese attack. Fletcher's son Nullah (Brandon Walters), who has magical powers, narrates most of the story. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Costume Design. |
