It seems like a good idea, but it goes nowhere.

Now, he enters a world with no clocks, no meetings, and no people. It represents the direct opposite of Noland's life as a FedEx executive. If he is to survive, Noland must fend for himself to obtain food, fire, and water. Survive he does, and Tom Hanks excels in carrying the storyline by himself through more than half of the film. Tom Hanks was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award.

This time around, the investigation involves recovery of voice recognition software stolen by a rival, Roger Corwin (Tim Curry). Nothing changes: we still have a team of sexy babes rising to the bait.

 As martial arts films go, this one is excellent as it relates the story of the quest for a legendary sword–Green Destiny–that has been stolen from the rightful martial arts owner Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-Fat). Ready to retire, Li had given his sword to fellow martial arts friend Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh) to deliver to Sir Te (Sihung Lung) in Peking. But, the sword is stolen from Yu, and she is now in hot pursuit. Li arrives on the scene and, in their world of martial arts action, Yu and Li search together for the missing sword and might even find love at the same time. Dazzling. The film won four Oscars including Best Foreign Film, Art Direction, and Cinematography. It was also nominated for Best Picture and Director.

A reward is offered, and Julia and Daniel–after tutoring by McCabe–begin to search for the remains. Just as they get close to the needed evidence, "Hump" Hinton (Christopher Plummer) arrives on the scene ready to use any means available to get the bone samples for his own use.

Rescued by slaves, Maximus is sold as a gladiator and ends up fighting in the Colosseum under the alias of "The Spaniard." The film won five Academy Awards: Best Picture, Actor (Crowe), Costume Design, Sound, and Visual Effects. It also received seven other nominations, including Best Director.

The famous "Swamp Fox" Francis Marion understood the role of a guerilla force and proceeded to snap up, one by one, the British posts that Cornwallis had carefully set up in South Carolina. In this rewrite of history, "Swamp Fox" is transformed into the "Ghost," Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson), widower and father of seven children. Another history rewrite takes place in the perception of slavery: slaves seem happy to serve their masters. In reality, in the South more than 10,000 African Americans supported the British forces and were relocated to Nova Scotia, Florida, Jamaica, and Africa at the end of the war. But if you are looking for rousing action and great special effects–and are willing to go along with the premise that the American Revolution was won because Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson) led the guerrillas against the evil British (especially Col. William Tavington (Jason Isaacs))–then this movie will prove entertaining.

Riddick, who has eyes that can see in darkness, is the only one who can see the creatures, and the survivors realize that they must depend on Riddick if they are to escape the creatures that are eating them, one by one.
