Chucky is six-year-old Andy Barclay's (Alex Vincent) new doll; however, Chucky is possessed by the soul of a dead murderer (Brad Dourif), which leads to the terrorization of Andy through Chucky's evil deeds. Murders take place, and when Andy tells people that Chucky did it, no one pays attention. Andy's mother Karen (Catherine Hicks) asks Detective Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon) to investigate. Because Mike is romantically interested in Karen, he agrees even though he does not believe Andy's stories–until Chucky starts to strangle him. Sequels follow.

In 1969, between May 11th and May 20th, the 101st Airborne Division fought the Vietcong in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War. The battle was later dubbed Hamburger Hill because of the heavy artillery fire that turned the troops into hamburger meat. This film documents the 11 assaults it took to gain the hill amidst the stark reality of the horrors of war.
