They find the gold but then are attacked by banditos. They defeat the banditos, and Mrs. Lowe leaves on a train to return the gold. Then, a Pinkerton agent (Ricardo Montalban) arrives on the scene and tells Lane that he is following Mrs. Lowe because he knows that Mrs. Lowe has concocted the story about her husband and that she learned about the gold from the real thief as he lay dying.
