While on the trail of the loot, Julie is kidnapped by Fouchet. Car chases ensue amidst Marcus' and Mike's bantering.

Meanwhile, Tanner has not given up and is devising another plan to prevent the catastrophe and save Earth.

The team's owner (Garry Marshall) picks ex-baseball star Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks), who ruined his career with alcoholism, as the manager. Training begins, Dugan stops drinking, and the underdog team works hard and gains success.
