This is a fun Comedy/Western with James Garner in the role of con artist Latigo who arrives in the mining town of Purgatory. The opportunity presents itself for him to make some money out of a dispute by making people think that he is a gunslinger. Latigo is hired to rid the town of feared gunslinger Jug May (Jack Elam), and the fun begins. Elam, always good, is at his best. Despite the title, director, and cast, this is not a sequel to "Support Your Local Sheriff."
