  Fred (Christopher Lambert) is a safecracker who steals major documents from the safe belonging to Helena's (Isabelle Adjani) husband (Constantin Alexandrov). Now–with the Metro police, the husband's thugs, and Helena in pursuit–Fred takes refuge in the Paris metro where he lives with a strange assortment of characters in a punk sub-culture.
