| | crozz 10/30/2007 | | I watched this movie purely by accident...was surfing throught the channels on a sunday afternoon and saw that Peter Strauss was in the middle of a scene, so i decided to stop and watch....well, within minutes I was caught in the story line of this movie and the performance that Pete was giving , which is in every flik is incredible....this movie is a must see for everyone, definately the most underated actor of our time. |

Coogan takes matters into his own hands and heads for the hospital, manages to get Ringerman released, and leaves for the airport with his prisoner. But, on the way to the airport, Ringerman's hippie girlfriend Linny (Tisha Sterling) waylays Coogan, and this allows Ringerman to escape. As a condition of his parole, Wendell takes a job at the Shady Grove retirement home, which is run by Neil King (Owen Wilson) and McTeague (Eddie Griffin) who run a scam that involves stealing residents' medications and selling them on the black market. A reformed Wendell enlists the aid of the residents–including Boyd (Seymour Cassel), Skip (Harry Dean Stanton), and L.R. Nasher (Kris Kristofferson)–in a plan to end the scam and, maybe, get Doreen back in the process. As they join forces in Wendell's cause, the residents learn that they still have a lot more living to do.
