  Three stories offer different perspectives on the AIDS crisis. In the first, Lucy Liu takes on the role of black-marketer Jin Ping who jeopardizes a village when she pretends to be a representative of the Provincial Health Office and sanctions an unsanitary drawing of villagers' blood. In the second story, HIV-positive porn star Denys (Shawn Ashmore) uses his own father's blood for required blood tests by his production company. In the final entry, a young nun, Sister Clara (Chloe Sevigny), works with missionaries (Olympia Dukakis and Sandra Oh) and makes personal sacrifices for the good of her village.

When Gabriel's ex-boyfriend Jess (Bobby Cannavale) suggests that Donna's and Pete's voices sound alike and that Gabriel may be the victim of a hoax, Gabriel heads for Wisconsin where a game of cat-and-mouse ensues.

During the ride, Ashade tells Phoebe about his brother's problems involving deportation. Phoebe convinces Ashade that she can help him find a good lawyer. But Phoebe has her own problems, is not who Ashade thinks she is, and draws Ashade into her tangled web.
