Police Sergeant Bill Davidson (Warren Douglas) helps Chan investigate, and they are aided by reporter Peggy Cartwright (Louise Currie) and Chan's son Tommy (Victor Sen Yung). They learn that Mei Ling had $1,000,000 in her possession, and the money is missing. Will they be able to solve the case? This is a remake of "Mr. Wong in Chinatown," which starred Boris Karloff in the role of Mr. Wong.
