This second remake of Roger Corman's 1957 film (also remade in 1988) was overseen by Corman. It is faithful to the original–except that it has been updated with the addition of sex and utilization of higher technology. An alien from a far-off planet comes to Earth in search of a cure for a rare blood disease that is decimating the people of his planet, and human blood seems to be the solution.
