Naive astronomer Sam (Matthew Broderick) meets and joins forces with a photographer/artist, Maggie (Meg Ryan), in their obsessive moves to keep track of ex-lovers. The plot is pure "Hollywood": boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, girl falls in love with boy. But the actors are engaging, and this comedy works.
