Director: Charles Band Cast: Tim Thomerson, Helen Hunt, Megan Ward, Biff Manard, Martine Beswick, Jeffrey Combs, Alyson Croft, Telma Hopkins, Art LaFleur, Barbara Crampton
OK–the original, though cheap, was fun. But this one can't get away with the low production values (as they say) without comment. Jack (Tim Thomerson) got stuck in the past (now, 1991) after dealing with the Trancer problem in 1985. He is married to Lena (Helen Hunt) and another Trancer threat emerges, led by Whistler's (from the original) brother. To help Jack out, the 23rd-century council sends his wife back from the future. And you think he had problems before.

Based on Jean Rhys' best-seller–a book intended as a prequel to Emily Bronte's "Jane Eyre"–the story, set in 1840s' Jamaica, starts with plantation owner Annette (Rachel Ward) marrying rich, mean-spirited, sexist Paul (Michael York) in order to save her land. After their mansion burns down, Paul leaves, Annette goes insane, and daughter Antoinette (Karina Lombard) is placed in a convent. Antoinette eventually marries a "proper" Englishman, Edward (Nathaniel Parker), in order to inherit the family land. But Antoinette's secrets and Edward's elitism and fear of black magic, which is prevalent in the area, brings more tragedy to the family.
