In the early 1930s, Lester Gillis (Mickey Rooney) is released from prison and goes to work for mob boss Rocca (Ted de Corsia) where he gets the name, "Baby Face Nelson." Problems ensue, and he kills Rocca and takes Rocca's gun moll, Sue (Carolyn Jones), with him. He becomes one of John Dillinger's (Leo Gordon) henchmen–until FBI agents finally put an end to his criminal activity when they kill him.

In another adaptation Stevenson's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," Anthony Perkins plays the Doctor who, in this version, turns into a Jack the Ripper-like Mr. Hyde after his monkey knocks over a bottle of ether into some cocaine being used to create a new anesthetic. The resulting fumes do their thing, and Jack is on his way to rid the world of prostitutes.

The police cannot find the puppies, but Pongo and Perdita use a system of dog signals to locate them, and–with help from dogs, geese, horses, and cows–the puppies are rescued.
