Bored computer operator Terry Dolittle (Whoopi Goldberg) works at Manhattan's First National Bank and sends personal messages. She receives a reply from British spy Jack (Jonathan Pryce), using the code name "Jumpin' Jack Flash," who needs help getting out of the Soviet Union. Terry loves spy movies and decides to help Jack. Her decision results in her finding herself in the dangerous world of spies where she is kidnapped by the KGB and given truth serum. Will she be able to overcome her desperate situation and warn Jack in time for him to escape?
