Shields wants them to work on a new project, but all three have had bad experiences in the past with Shields that will make them think twice about signing with him. The film won five Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress (Gloria Grahame for her role as Rosemary Bartlow), and Kirk Douglas received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

But, Elizabeth does not approve of Thorpe's pirating tactics and demands that he change his ways.
