Castle of Blood 1964 N/R, 85 min. Genre: Foreign / Horror aka: Castle of Terror
Director: Antonio Margheriti Cast: Georges Riviere, Barbara Steele, Henry Kruger, Margarete Robsahm, Silvia Sorrente, Silvano Tranquilli, Umberto Raho, Phil Karson, John Peters, Ben Steffen
Tourist Alan Foster (Georges Riviere) stops at an inn and meets Lord Blackwood and Edgar Allan Poe. The two bet Alan that he cannot spend one night in a haunted mansion where several deaths have occurred. Alan takes the bet. The castle is indeed haunted by those who died there, and they relive their deaths to Alan. Will he get away? I doubt it. Eerie and effective. Remade by the director in 1970 as "Web of the Spider."
