Gabby realizes that Lucille looks like her grandmother, Kansas Kate. Lucille falls asleep in Kate's room and dreams about her grandmother (also played by Evans). Her dreams include experiences Kate had with Gabby when he made a gold strike and how a cowboy prevented Cyril and Buster (Hardie Albright and Roy Barcroft) from stealing his claim, and the cowboy became her boyfriend. The grandmother's boyfriend looks a lot like Roy Rogers.
