Her research on the southern culture of the blue ridge mountain people was accurate and heart warming... We also need to give a standing ovation to Mr. Levon Helm who has so sadly left us. He will be missed for his many movies and music career.. We should have more of these types of movies.... Debbie |

| | Life lessons, great music, acting. Replay! | debnindy first wife 07/31/2010 | I could watch this movie 4 times or more a year, haven't but point is, it never gets boring and there is a huge eye opening message on female integrity. Whether or not you were aware, this message brings clarity to light in a way of morning sunshine beams on a body of calm water.
This story reinstalls our potential as women to have a great life, independent of a man's clutches on our desires and actions. As should be all human goal, greater is to give back to our community in a particular way that fulfills a personal need. This movie depicts the very core as it moves through all kinds of emotions, assessments, plans and actions.
An indirect statement beams in which women do need women; as indeed we are venus, men are mars and that without women of integrity, the world would be a sad place to exist. Bette Midler, Diane Keaton and Goldie Hawn were perfect as main actresses to relay this very important knowledge. The choice of music was excellent. The final song and dance forces the most tone deaf clutz to recite as it is extremely pleasant to the ear and eye; proud, happy, uplifting and strong! I rate this fabulous movie as excellent and a must buy for personal and sharing with both women and men of friends and family! |

| | Anonymous 05/02/2011 | | This is an absolute must see!! Like the other reviewer mentioned, i saw this movie even before Reese Witherspoon was known. When i first saw this movie it was towards the middle and didn't quite know what i was watching. i would describe the movie to people and started asking around "what was the name of the movie" and noone knew. i kept searching the television to see when it would come back on and what could possibly be the name of the movie and nothing. till i asked someone who was a movie guru and then i finally had a chance to watch this movie from beginning to end. It was so hilarious!! especially when they were in the court room. This was truly her role in this movie.... |

None of them are guilty, and they decide to plot revenge against the police and pull off a jewelry robbery. The heist is successful but leads to another crime, ordered by master criminal Keyser Soze, and the result is a boat containing $91 million in drug money that explodes in San Pedro harbor, and 27 people are killed.
